Woodlawn Arts Academy is proud to introduce the
                Woodlawn Dance Academy!
If you have been looking for a new dance program,
now is the time to join!

The Woodlawn Dance Academy is a brand new dance studio to the Sauk Valley area. It is housed at the
Woodlawn Arts Academy, which is a state of the art facility featuring a professionally equipped dance studio.
We offer classes for all ages and all levels in a huge array of disciplines. Our program is a cumulative program
that ends with a recital in June. Our program runs from September through June with four, eight-week
sessions. At the Woodlawn Dance Academy, we recognize how busy everyone’s schedule is, and so we do
what we can to help our families plan ahead. Please refer to our Dance Calendar, which informs our
participants of important dates for our program for the entire dance school year. Due to the progressive
nature of this program, students must begin with the fall session for all recital classes.
Class
placement is based on age, technical level, and experience. Non-recital classes are available for enrollment
each session. Call for more information today!

Our program is designed to introduce students to ballet and tap together at the lower levels. Then it
progresses into individual discipline classes at the intermediate and advanced levels. It is important to us that
our dancers learn technique and curriculum the entire year. All recital dances are taught after the winter break.
Our goal is to offer quality programs while creating an environment for positive learning and most of all FUN!
*As a service to our participants, we have a flat screen TV in our lounge that allows parents the opportunity
to view each dance class without the worry of interrupting the dancers. Parents are not allowed in the
classroom until viewing week, which is always the last class of each session. Session 4 viewing is the actual
recital.

Dress Code: Please wear hair off the face, a black leotard, pink ballet tights (for ballet or ballet/tap combo
classes), black jazz pants/capris (for jazz, tap, hip-hop and modern) and appropriate dance shoes to class.
Location: All classes will meet in Dance Studios, Room 401 or Room 402 unless specified otherwise.
Instructors: Our instructors are highly trained and go through an extensive week of curriculum training for
each style and level offered. Everyone on the Woodlawn Dance Academy staff takes pride in her/his work
and strives to enforce organizational standards and serve our customers with the highest level of
professionalism possible.
